Mine did not need ironing, and neither did any of the others that they sent me, when I went through the fiasco I went through, over a year ago, when both the CS phone people and I thought that the outfit was supposed to come with bobby pins for the pinner cap. I guess it used to and doesn't any more. In any case, I'm glad that you found a good solution for this problem.

None of them had a shade on the trim that was slightly different from the shade on the dress. My guesses would be that this difference might be either 1) from changes in the new generation of Felicity things, or 2) it's just a mistake. Maybe you could call CS and ask what they think.
